Bluewater Development Tract

Located along Highway 401 on the southern county line, the Bluewater Tract is nearly 400 contiguous acres of raw timberland ready for development. This tract features sandy soils, mature timber and an intricate road system throughout. Perhaps most notable is its prime location in a high-growth area of the piedmont region. The Bluewater tract is less than 10 miles from Lillington, Dunn and Fayetteville and only minutes from both I-95 and 295. Both Harnett County and neighboring Cumberland County continue to see tremendous growth in population which has led to two new residential developments neighboring the Bluewater tract. Both water and electric utilities are in immediate proximity and a new roundabout was constructed in 2024 at the intersection of Highway 401 and Josey Williams Rd to handle the increased flow of traffic.
