The 57± acre Siletz River Tract is located along the western bank of the Siletz River, and east of Highway 299. Ojalla Park, with boat ramp, restroom, and parking, is nearby. The property has 1,500± feet of frontage. There is an easement for access from Huhtala Road to the northwest corner that was recorded in 1981. Copy of easement is included in the bid package.
According to aerial photo history, the Tract was logged in the 1960s, and partially harvested again in the 1990s. Access for logging was from the easement. Seller does not have a timber inventory. It appears that the property has a mix of 30 to 60 year-old conifer and hardwoods. It is estimated that, after buffering the river, 54± acres would be available to be harvested and replanted in Douglas-fir. The Douglas-fir Site Class is II and the topography is moderate, with primarily south-facing slopes.
Access to the Siletz River is less than one mile from Ojalla Park Boat Ramp.
