Location: The Scott Ranch is located in Wichita County, Texas, on US Hwy 287 between Wichita Falls and Iowa Park. Wichita Falls, 5 miles east Dallas/ Ft. Google Earth Pro shows that in 2010, during a drought, the larger ponds contained water throughout that dry spell. Wildlife: Cover along the eastern boundary provides loafing areas and a travel corridor for wildlife, which may include whitetail deer and feral hogs. Land: The land has been traditionally used for cattle production. The property is free of brush for optimum forage capacity for grazing. Sediment ponds prevent the deeper ponds from becoming filled with sediment. Overflow drainages ensure the pond dams don't experience erosion damage and supply water to other areas.
