The trail system also makes the property great for bird hunting, hiking, or riding. The land offers nice topography changes with rolling hills and elevated views. Hunting success has been strong here in years past, and there’s plenty of room to continue improving the property even further.
Now, let’s talk about location. This area offers a wide range of recreational opportunities. Whether you enjoy hunting, trail riding, horseback riding, UTV riding, or accessing the amenities at Whiskey Creek Campground (additional membership/fees apply), this property puts it all within reach.
A major bonus: the seller has already cleared a large building pad where they originally planned to build. Power has been brought in, with electrical outlets available to service a variety of needs, and WiFi is already installed.
One more highlight — the property borders thousands of acres of Manistee National Forest, giving you even more room to roam, explore, and enjoy every season outdoors.
If you’re looking for an all-around tract with endless possibilities in the heart of Mason County, I highly recommend giving this one a serious look. You will not be disappointed.

Alger County - Eben-Trenary Road Lot#WP001, Trenary, MI
A private driveway up the hill opens to an expansive farm field that is surrounded by a treeline which adds to its privacy. Quite a number of apple trees have been planted and now provide a reason for deer to remain close to the property. Off the east end of the field is a hidden food plot, planted with everything that deer cannot resist. Trail cameras show evidence that the location of this plot is essential to the property's success of producing really nice bucks. The field has been planted in corn in the past, but is now growing grass and helping all of the resident deer grow bigger faster. To the east is a large block of healthy wetland woods, including a ton of cedars. With power along the road, a small pond, apple trees and great access on a very well maintained road, this property isn't just for hunting, it is a great location to build a home or cabin. When you crest the top of the hill and see how this property lays out, you will immediately understand why it will not be on the market very long. So many places to put a blind, so many spots to put in different food plots, so many locations to build a home or cabin. It is often said that good properties don't last very long, but great ones are gone much faster. This one hits the mark as being great. For the most accurate description of what this property can provide for you or family be sure to call soon. We look forward to showing you what owning it will mean for you.

Chain of Lakes: Hoisington Lake Bennett Lake Lobdell Lake
Hoisington Lake is a 125-acre lake in northern Livingston County, Michigan. This spring fed lake supports both warm- and cool-water fish species. It is one of three lakes (Lobdell, Bennett and Hoisington) in this chain. Hoisington Lake lies within the Denton Creek sub-watershed of the North Ore Creek sub-watershed of the Shiawassee River
watershed. The main basin in Hoisington Lake has a maximum depth of 62 ft. The primary inlet is Denton Creek, and a secondary inlet comes from Clough Lake. The primary outlet flows into Bennett Lake. The Argentine Dam (aka Wolcott Dam) at Lobdell Lake maintains water levels for all four lakes in the chain. The Hoisington Lake catchment area covers 11.5 miles. There are a variety of land cover types within the watershed, but the majority is forested or undeveloped. Hoisington Lake is a very unique inland lake in southeast Michigan because there is very little development along the shoreland.
Bennett Lake is a 150-acre lake and the next lake to the northwest in the chain of these three lakes. The lake also lies within the boundaries of the Shiawassee River watershed and North Ore Creek sub-watershed. North Ore Creek flows northerly Hoisington Lake entering Bennett Lake at the southeast shore, then exits to the north, flowing into Lobdell Lake and eventually discharging to the Shiawassee River. Bennett Lake is typified as a warm water, medium size, deep lake of mesotrophic characteristics. The lake shoreline is irregular in shape and can be divided into east and west portions. The west portion forms a semi-circular main basin reaching 57 feet in depth while the east portion forms a shallow water marsh complex with a single deep-water zone of 20-foot depth. The shoreline is moderately developed with approximately 60 residences. The north and south shores of the west portion are most developed with approximately 30 dwellings. The east basin is undeveloped and considered valuable marsh and emerging wetland habitat.
Lobdell Lakeis a 545-acre lake and the next lake in the chain just north of Bennett Lake and has a maximum depth of 78 feet. The lakes are connected by the north-south channel under Bennet Lake Road. Lobdell Lake is the second largest lake in the Fenton and Linden area and is bordered by Silver Lake Rd. on the north, Argentine Rd. on the west and Bennett Lake Rd. on the south. Lobdell's Lake bottom is varied, comprising of marl, sand, pulpy & fibrous peat and gravel. The lake is known not only for being a large body of water that connects to the Bennett Lake and Hoisington Lake, but also for the wide array of beautiful islands on the lake. There are about a dozen islands on the lake, some of which are named Bluegill, Turtle and Stages Island. Lobdell Lake is popular and ideal for boating, jet skiing, water skiing and wakeboarding.
