The Western Portion of the Famed 3,536-acre Triple Creek Plantation
World-class deer and turkey habitat with some quail components and meticulously designed for sharing the ultimate outdoor experience with others.
Triple Creek West is an exceptionally improved 911 +/- acre high-quality recreational property particularly noted for one of the oldest mixed pine and upland hardwood forests left in Alabama. The whitetail deer and wild turkey hunting is phenomenal. The combination of architecture, amenities, and facilities makes this one exceptional place to entertain friends and family. This is a great opportunity on a high-quality recreational property with some of the best trophy whitetail deer habitat in Alabama, enormous mature oaks with spring-fed creek bottoms, and exceptional, high-quality improvements.
Triple Creek West is the western portion of the famed 3,536-acre Triple Creek Plantation; the property was carefully curated by visionary landowner Kevin Stump. His dream was to restore and enhance the land, creating one of the Souths most desirable recreational properties. With expert management and strategic land planning, Triple Creek West now stands as a premier destination for deer and turkey hunting while offering vast potential for expanded quail habitat development.
The creek bottoms and ancient hardwood-lined bottoms create an ideal setting for bow hunting. The property combines great habitat with outstanding architectural development, making it a rare find.
The story of Triple Creek has been profound, but it wasnt until 2017 that a new chapter began to unfold. Kevin Stump, a man with a dream, set his sights on something extraordinary. He envisioned not only expanding the plantation but reintroducing the bobwhite quail and curating a world-class wing-shooting property. With Kevins hard work and determination, his vision came to fruition. From the architecture of the land to the thoughtfully designed habitat, roads, and ponds, every inch of Triple Creek was mapped out with the outdoor experience in mind, and more importantly, for sharing that experience with others.
The property is designed to be enjoyed by friends and family, featuring an elevated pheasant tower, a putting green, and a shooting pavilion. Every aspect of Triple Creek West is thoughtfully crafted to enhance the outdoor experience.
Triple Creek Wests landscape is nothing short of breathtaking. Featuring 3.9 miles of clear-flowing creeks and 180-foot elevation change, the topography is reminiscent of Smoky Mountains National Park but much better managed. Towering white oaks, lush hardwood stands, and winding waterways create a visually stunning backdrop for outdoor recreation.
In addition to its hunting opportunities, the property offers year-round recreational activities, including professionally managed fish ponds, an 8-machine, 5-stand clay shooting range, and an artificial putting green. Whether it's a morning spent hunting in the woods, an afternoon on the water, or an evening around the lodges grand fireplace, Triple Creek West delivers a complete sporting lifestyle.
The accommodations at Triple Creek West seamlessly blend rustic charm with modern comfort. The Bobwhite Lodge is 2,400 square feet with a wrap-around porch offering sweeping water views. It serves as the perfect retreat after a day in the field. It features a foyer with a sitting area and fireplace, a four-bedroom suite, and a large great room with a sitting area, pool table, dining area, and kitchen. With a keen eye for detail, the stone foundation veneer of the Bobwhite Lodge came from fieldstone, hand-selected by the landowner and sourced directly from the property.
Approximately 150 yards from the hunting lodge is the Covey Cabin, a cozy 1,750-square-foot, three-bedroom, two-bathroom guest cabin. Additional accommodation includes the Guide Quarters, a large garage with a small suite for a guide or manager and an excellent place to meet prior to the hunt. These thoughtfully designed structures ensure that every guest enjoys the perfect balance of comfort and adventure.
Additional improvements include an enclosed steel barn and a large equipment barn for storage and maintenance of gear and machinery.
Like many of the countrys best recreational properties, this one is protected by a conservation easement. The conservation easement allows for a wide range of activities to enjoy a high-quality recreational property. There are two building envelopes allowing additional structures.
Many properties with significant investment in habitat restoration are preserved rather than developed. This easement is extremely favorable, ensuring that this property will never be turned into a subdivision.

Meticulously designed for sharing the ultimate outdoor experience with others
Triple Creek East is a testament of what a combination of exceptional wildlife habitat, the nation's best quail biologists, and a well-capitalized vision can accomplish. This 2,626 +/- acres of rolling hills and vast wildlife is a true masterpiece, offering world-class quail hunting, trophy whitetail deer, abundant turkey, fishing, and miles of clear flowing creeks. The 1,500 acres of managed wild quail habitat is now regarded as one of the top wild quail populations in all of Alabama. The rolling red hills and fertile soils are reminiscent of the habitat seen in the Thomasville-Tallahassee region, yet it is located just 35 miles from Birmingham. Triple Creek East is a true testament to the allure of a sporting plantation with the combination of the amenities found in one of the Souths greatest cities.
From the architecture of the land to the thoughtfully designed habitat, roads, and ponds, every inch of Triple Creek was mapped out with the outdoor experience in mind and, more importantly, for sharing that experience with others.
The initial problem with the dream was that there wasnt a wild bobwhite quail in the entire county. In 2019, Kevin took the first step toward that dream. Partnering with Tall Timbers and other experts, he embarked on one of the most ambitious quail translocation projects the South had ever seen. Wild quail were brought in from Georgia, and the work began. As of a recent count, the 1,500 acres of wild bird habitat has an estimated .9 birds per acre, placing it among the top wild bird properties in Alabama and one of the most respected in the South. This entire transformation has been well documented with extensive records on spring and fall quail counts, prescribed burns, herbicide treatments, and a telemetry-based trapping system. There are eight well-developed, extremely well-managed wild quail courses and 24 miles of feedline with feeding every other week. No expense was spared in making this project successful. It is regarded as one of the most successful quail translocation projects in the South and demonstrates how following the science-based recommendations of Tall Timbers can take a property with zero quail and turn it into one of the top wing-shooting properties in America.
Tall Timbers is a private, nonprofit research station headquartered in Tallahassee, FL, best known for its work in prescribed fire and bobwhite quail. Founded in 1958, Tall Timbers now has biologists stationed throughout the Southeast, including one in Alabama. Mark Sasser spearheaded the work done at Triple Creek. It took vision to see this property as a wild quail plantation from where it began. It also took a restocking of wild quail from South Georgia, as there were none when the project began in 2018. Tall Timbers conducted the original research on these translocations and has completed over a dozen such successful projects over the years. A combination of a dedicated owner, competent manager, sound research-based advice, and wild quail translocation has transformed Triple Creek from a raw piece of land into one of the premier hunting properties in Alabama. Annual spring and fall census reports have documented populations approaching one bird per acre over the last couple of years, ranking it among the top five wild bird properties in Alabama.
Trophy deer hunting and wild turkey hunting here are exceptional, given the well-managed and annually burned quail courses that border approximately 934 acres of mature, park-like hardwoods. The fertile soil, combined with massive ancient hardwood bottoms, creates a habitat that is second to none for both deer and turkey. The whitetail genetics here are very good. Aside from possibly adding a few more deer-focused food plots to the 83 acres already dedicated to wildlife, everything is done, making this a turnkey hunting experience.
This isnt just a hunting property; its a year-round sporting paradise where guests can enjoy riding ATVs in the summer, wing shooting in the fall, catching the late-season rut for whitetail deer, or fishing in intensively managed ponds. Theres always something for everyone.
The propertys landscape is a blend of rolling hills, ancient hardwoods, and fertile soil reminiscent of the Red Hills Plantation Belt. It offers 800-to-500-foot elevation changes and three main creek bottomsWolf Creek, Hearthstone Creek, and Turkey Branchwith five miles of main creeks and five miles of smaller streams. These clear-flowing waters, combined with the rolling topography, create a setting thats nearly unimaginable.
The property also boasts a 2.5-acre intensively managed fishing pond and several natural oxbow duck ponds ideal for waterfowl hunting. These water features not only enhance the natural beauty of the property but also provide excellent habitats for wildlife.
The architecture of the home at Triple Creek East is world-class, designed by a renowned architect from Birmingham. The home is a spacious 3,200 square feet, featuring custom and antique elements like mantels and pine flooring. With four bedrooms, four bathrooms, a living room with a fireplace, a billiard room, and a screened-in porch, this residence offers both comfort and elegance. The replacement cost of the main house alone is approximately $2.3 million.
Triple Creek East is protected by a conservation easement that allows for a high-quality recreational property while permitting the construction of a lodge, barns, kennels, and other structures within designated areas. This easement ensures that the property will remain a sporting paradise and never be subdivided, securing its legacy for future generations. The conservation value of this property is truly unique, preserving its extraordinary habitat and ensuring its long-term sustainability.
Many conservation easement properties with significant capital investment in their habitat remain undeveloped to preserve their ecological and recreational value. This particular easement primarily ensures that the property will never become a subdivision.
Conveniently located just a few minutes drive from I-20 East, Triple Creek East offers easy access to the arts, fine dining, and shopping of Birmingham. The citys commercial airport is only 40 minutes away, and a private jet airport is just 23 minutes away, making this an accessible yet secluded retreat.
Triple Creek East was originally part of the 3,650 +/- acre plantation, Triple Creek, which can be divided into Triple Creek East and West, each carrying its own unique legacy. What separates Triple Creek East is the world-class wild quail hunting along with exceptional trophy whitetail deer. The West side also offers quail opportunities but not to the same extent. The current barn, guest lodges, kennel, and shooting range are located on the West side.
This is a turnkey sporting property that was thoughtfully planned and is ready to step in and enjoy today. Triple Creek East is not just a property; its a legacy of unparalleled wildlife management, architectural excellence, and Southern hospitality - a place where dreams are made real.
The adjoining Triple Creek West 911 acres is also available for $4,309,620. Or Triple Creek Plantation in its entirety, 3,536 total acres is available for $15,250,000.

In the heart of Alabama, nestled just 35 miles from Birmingham, lies a land people can only dream of. This is Triple Creek - a plantation that stands as a true testament to the timeless allure of the Southern sporting tradition. Spanning 3,650 acres of rolling hills and vast wildlife, Triple Creek is not just a place; its a living legend.
From the architecture of the land to the thoughtfully designed habitat, roads, and ponds. Every inch of Triple Creek was mapped out with the outdoor experience in mind, and more importantly, for sharing that experience with others.
Over 1500+/- acres of meticulously managed quail habitat, where an average of one bird per acre thrives. This remarkable density places Triple Creek among one of the top three quail plantations in Alabama. Beyond quail, the rest of the property is dedicated to trophy whitetail deer and turkey, making it a haven for hunters of all pursuits.
The initial problem with the dream was that there wasnt a wild bobwhite quail in the entire county. In 2019, Kevin took the first step towards that dream. Partnering with Tall Timbers and other experts, he embarked on one of the most ambitious quail translocation projects the South had ever seen. It is regarded as one of the most successful quail translocation projects in the South and is a testament on how following the science-based recommendations of Tall Timbers can take a property with zero quail and turn it into one of the top wing-shooting properties in America.
The property has incredible terrain and fertile soil. In fact, the ground cover here is very similar to what we see in the highly productive Red Hills Plantation Belt. Although the current landowner does not focus on trophy whitetail deer they are here, and the age and genetics are exceptional. The hardwoods, creeks, draws, and open areas are exceptional Deer and turkey habitat throughout all 3,650 acres.
There is a beautiful rolling topography with 800-to-500-foot elevation changes.
The balance of the property is based on three main creek bottoms, thus the name, Triple Creek. There are 4.9 miles of creeksWolf Creek, Hearthstone Creek, and Turkey Branchalong with 7.9 miles of smaller creeks. The creek bottoms look like something out of a national park with clear flowing water, rolling topography, massive ancient hardwoods, white oak, and exceptional deer and turkey habitat.
This is a year-round property, with three intensively managed fishing ponds including a 1.8 +/- acre pond by the skeet range, a 1.5 +/- acre catfish pond, and a 2.5 +/- acre house pond. In addition, the property boasts several natural oxbow duck ponds, ideal for waterfowl hunting. These water features not only enhance the natural beauty of the property but also provide excellent habitats for wildlife.
For additional recreation, the property includes an 8-machine, 5-stand clay shooting range fully lighted with stadium lights, and an artificial putting green with three tee boxes.
Triple Creek also has world-class architecture and amenities. The plantation's buildings and amenities are designed for both comfort and functionality. All the buildings were designed by a noted architect out of Birmingham, Alabama. The main house is a spacious 3,000 square feet and is all custom and antique; mantels, pine flooring, etc.It has 4 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, a living room with fireplace, dining room, billiard room, custom kitchen, laundry room, and screened-in porch. The replacement cost of the main house is approximately $2.3M.
The Bobwhite Lodge is 2,400 square feet with a wrap-around porch overlooking stunning views of a pond. It features a foyer with a sitting area with fireplace, four-bedroom suite, and a large great room with sitting area, pool table, dining area, and kitchen. Approximately 150 yards from the hunting lodge is the Covey Cabin, a cozy 1,750 square foot three-bedroom, two-bathroom guest cabin. Additional accommodation includes the Guide Quarters, a large garage with a small suite for a guide or manager and an excellent place to meet prior to the hunt. With a keen eye for detail, the stone foundation veneer of the main house and Bobwhite Lodge came from fieldstone, hand-selected by the landowner and sourced directly from the property. Additional improvements include an enclosed steel barn and a large equipment barn for storage and maintenance of gear and machinery.
The property is protected by a conservation easement; however, the easement provides for one division of the property and allows for four building sites.
Ideally located, Triple Creek is just 35 miles from Birmingham off I-20 East and restaurants and shopping are just minutes away. Birminghams commercial airport is just 40 minutes away and a private jet airport is 23 minutes away.
What makes this property stand apart is its exceptional wildlife habitat, water, and its perfectly combined functionality and usability for its guests. This is a turnkey sporting property that was thoughtfully planned with every amenity and is ready to step in and enjoy today.
